Resilient Communities Event Recap

On April 8, 2022, Elder Help Peel held an event at The Conservatory – Brampton City Hall to recognize the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Resilient Communities Grant, and to acknowledge the significant contributions by our dedicated team of volunteers.

We were honoured to welcome Community Activist, Mario Russo and Legislative Constituency Assistant, Elizabeth Pike as well as volunteers to celebrate the OTF Grant. This grant has enabled Elder Help Peel to overcome some of the challenges presented by the pandemic. Take a look at the Video Recap. We hope to see you at our next Community Event!

A Testimonial by Amarsha P.
“My supervisor is fantastic, and we work collaboratively to achieve our daily goals. My practicum at Elder Help Peel gave me the chance to improve on public speaking, building rapport, interpersonal skills, and proper etiquette. I was also able to attend workshops, interviews, and presentations, all in which I participated which made me feel very included and a part of the Elder Help Peel family. I became more confident in speaking to others and stepping out of my comfort zone.” – Amarsha P.
