Student Field Placement Opportunities

Role Description

Elder Help Peel is currently accepting applications for post-secondary students to complete student placements taking place in Spring 2024, Fall 2024 and Winter 2025.

Students have the opportunity to gain practical work experience through a student fieldwork or placement component from the following graduate programs:

  • Social Service Worker and Social Service Worker Gerontology Program
  • Office Administration – Health Services
  • Social and Community Development
  • Media Communications (photography, graphic design, web design and writing, social media, and videography)
  • Volunteer Program Management or Human Resources Management

Elder Help Peel offers practicum placements for students in graduate programs from a variety of colleges and universities. If you are a student interested in a placement, please complete the form below letting us know more about you, your program, and the hours you would need to complete. The Volunteer Program Coordinator will get back to you and let you know about of the student applications for the upcoming semester.

Elder Help Peel partners with educational institutions to provide placement opportunities to students who are looking to gain valuable work experience for academic credit and are unpaid practicum placements. Placement opportunities may be limited according to Elder Help Peel’s program needs.
